Motor Booty Affair To Entertain At Saturday’s Winter Beach Ball

The Northern Light EMMC Auxiliary Winter Beach Ball has added disco to its summer theme this year, with Motor Booty Affair providing the music.

I've always loved the idea behind this event. At the portion of winter when we're all just fed up and ready for it to be over, the folks with the Northern Light EMMC Auxiliary put on a dance with a beachy theme. Party-goers are encouraged to wear 'beach-wear' at this year's Winter Beach Ball, which is planned for Saturday. And they do! From shorts to tank tops and flip flops, you'll temporarily forget that we have several feet of snow on the ground outside.

But this year's dance has an added theme, with the addition of the popular disco band, Motor Booty Affair. That means, some of the folks at the party will be wearing sequins and halter tops, platform shoes and curly wigs. Combining the two themes could be really fun.

The evening will include music, light refreshments, dancing, a cash bar, a 50/50 raffle, and chance & silent auctions, all at the beautiful Anah Shrine building, 1404 Broadway in Bangor.
