A third suspect has been named in connection to a shooting earlier this week in Presque Isle.

26-year-old Brittany Britton was arrested twelve hours after the victim was taken from a home on MicMac land. The victim called 911 early Monday morning from a Northern Road resident, telling the dispatcher that he had been shot and was dying. After undergoing surgery at a local hospital, the victim was flown by Lifeflight helicopter to Northern Light EMMC in Bangor in critical condition.

Britton's role in the shooting has not been revealed, but she is one of three suspects in the case. 31-year-old Jomo White of Georgia was arrested Tuesday at a Presque Isle home, while 44-year-old Jason Alexander remains at large. Britton has been charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Reckless conduct, while White is charged with Attempted Murder, Elevated Aggravated Assault, and Aggravated Reckless Conduct with a Firearm.

Julie Miller, tribal administrator for the Aroostook band of MicMacs told WABI-TV that this is an isolated event that did not involve tribal members. She said the tribal government is reviewing housing regulations to ensure better safety for residents.

Anyone with information about Alexander's whereabouts is asked to contact Maine State Police at (207) 532-5400. A $500 reward has been offered for information to his arrest. Police say anyone caught helping him hide will be prosecuted.
