A lot of people have mixed feelings about drones, and I understand that they can be used in questionable ways. Then there are drone camera owners who have found ways to change our perspective on the world.

And then there's Jason Smith, who shares videos on his Facebook page of the world underneath the water. As someone who fishes, I really enjoy his windows into the natural habitats of the fish in Maine's waterways.
Moosehead Lake, Maine, Crashed Plane Captured on Drone Video
But I was blown away on Sunday when Jason posted this drone video of the plane that crashed into Moosehead Lake during Saturday's International Seaplane Fly-In.
The pilot sustained minor injuries in this crash that left his plane over 100 feet below the surface of Moosehead Lake. According to the Facebook post, this video was part of a pre-recovery mission to show rescuers how far down the aircraft was in the water and how it was sitting on the bottom.

Moosehead Lake Plane Crash Was the 4th in Under a Month in Maine
According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss, the Grumman G-44A Widgeon crashed as pilot Barry Holtz, 76, of Fairport, New York, was landing the amphibious aircraft on the lake.
This was the fourth plane crash in Maine in under a month.
