Waterville Police are investigating after money was stolen from two jars containing donations for Melissa Sousa's family.

WGME-TV reports the thefts were discovered on Sunday, during a vigil for the woman who was shot to death in her home. The cans were placed in Dunkin' locations in Waterville. Police say they're investigating this as a theft case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Waterville Police Department.

Melissa Sousa's body was found in the basement of the home she shared with her boyfriend and their two daughters. Nicholas Lovejoy is now charged with murder.
