
Bangor, Maine Police Follow Beeping Laptop to Alleged Car Burglar
Victims of car burglaries in a Bangor neighborhood helped the police track a resident's stolen laptop.
Brewer, Maine Transient Arrested in Bangor for Car Burglaries
Angelo Harris, 18, a transient from Brewer is facing multiple charges after an incident on Wednesday morning.

Bangor Police learned just after 8:30 that a briefcase and laptop had been stolen out of a vehicle on George Street overnight.
Bangor, Maine Car Burglary Victim Helps the Police Track Her Stolen Laptop
Shortly after speaking with the first victim, the police received a tip and video footage from a neighbor showing a white man with a laptop checking the neighbor's car doors.
About two hours later, the original victim called back and told the officers that she could see her laptop's location moving on a map.
She was able to activate a feature that made the laptop beep.
Bangor, Maine Police Seize Stolen Items, Gun and Ammo from Car Burglary Suspect
As a Bangor Police officer arrived at Coe Park, near the Kenduskeag Stream trails, he noticed a man matching the description and video footage of the suspect throw something into the bushes.
Dispatch informed the officer that Harris had an active warrant for his arrest.
A search of the area resulted in the seizure of a gun and ammunition in the bushes, as well as other items from separate reported burglaries, including the missing laptop, bank cards, wallets, and more.
Harris is charged with:
- Theft by unauthorized taking
- Burglary of a motor vehicle
- Violation of conditions of release.
He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
