Spring in Maine – What’s Going To Happen?
First day of spring, yes the day we have been waiting for.
Spring has sprung.
The day and the night are pretty close in time length now.
It also means free ice cream from Dairy Queen today at participating locations. It's a free small vanilla soft serve ice cream cone while supplies last and if you purchase the dip for a dollar your contribution benefits local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
So before we start complaining about the weather if it is not as mild as we would like it to be, because it's spring. Or it's snowing and we say how dare it snow after all it is spring, we look even further ahead.
In anticipation of what follows spring yes it's summer coming in three months.
First, let's get over this downer, as we look at gas prices which were anticipated to drop below $3 a gallon and they are not there yet, But brace yourself for pricier summer blend fuel. Summer means switching to summer blend usually adding 5 to10 cents to the price of a gallon of gasoline. So even though we are 25 cents less per gallon than a year ago, we are gonna lose some of that once the switch to summer blend takes place. The switch to summer blend happens May 1st.
But What Else Happens in Spring
