Firearms and ammo were seized from a Maine storage unit belonging to the shooter at a Rhode Island ice rink.

Maine Man Shot Family Members at a High School Hockey Game in Rhode Island

Robert Dorgan, 56, who also went by the name Roberta Esposito, walked into a Pawtucket, Rhode Island, hockey rink earlier this week and shot five people.

Killed in that attack were Dorgan's ex-wife, Rhonda Dorgan, and their adult son, Aidan Dorgan. Rhonda's parents, as well as a family friend, were critically injured.

Another son was on the ice, involved in the game, at the time of the shootings.

Police say several bystanders jumped in and stopped the attack.

Dorgan then died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

An investigation into Robert Dorgan and their white van with Maine plates towed from the scene of the shooting revealed that they lived in Maine and worked at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works.

WPRI-TV reports Maine State Police aided in the search of Dorgan's apartment, a locker at work, and a storage unit.

When they looked at the storage unit, the police found a sawed-off shotgun, an AR-15-style rifle, a handgun frame, ammunition, firearm accessories, and mail that was addressed to the suspect.

The firearms used in the shooting and registered to Dorgan included a 10mm Glock 29, which was bought in Florida, and a Sig Sauer P226, purchased in Rhode Island.

Another of Dorgan's six children is currently in jail in Rhode Island.

 

WPRI-TV reports Kevin Colantonio was sentenced last year to more than six years behind bars for using gasoline to set several fires around the outside of a North Providence church.

The Shiloh Gospel Temple has a predominantly black congregation.
