The charges stem from an incident that was reported to the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office just before 9:30 Monday night. Deputies, as well a Mechanic Falls Police Officer responded to Evergreen Drive in Poland for a report that someone had broken into a residence and pointed a gun at the homeowner. The male victim told officials that he was asleep when he heard a loud bang. He got up and found a person dressed in all black, wearing a ski mask, standing on his front steps outside his entry door. A second person dressed the same way was in a bedroom, trying to manipulate a safe.
