
Maine Police Arrest 5 People In Searsport Drug Investigation
Maine Police arrested three people from New York and two local residents in Searsport drug busts.
Maine Drug Agents Arrest Five People in a Searsport Investigation
Five people are facing charges after two Maine agencies assisted the MDEA with a drug investigation in Searsport:
- Daniel Carchide, 43, of Searsport is charged with aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs. Bail was set at $500.
- Izaiah Cooper, 27, of Bronx, New York, is charged with unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs. Cooper was able to pay his $500 bail and was released.
- Christopher Babb, 27, of Bronx, New York, is charged with unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs. Bail was initially set at $500, but after his initial appearance, was set at $2,500.
- Alyssa Heroux, 36, of Searsport, is charged with unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs, and taken into custody on several arrest warrants. No bail was allowed.
- Mujahedeen Hassan, 35, of Bronx, New York, is charged with aggravated trafficking Schedule W drugs. Bail was set at $10,000.
Searsport Police, the Waldo County Sheriff's Office, and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency have been working together on an investigation into the alleged unlawful trafficking of cocaine from two residences in Searsport.
Maine Drug Agents Seize Cocaine and Thousands in Drug Proceeds
Two search warrants were obtained on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 7 and 11 Dead Brook Lane in Searsport. Officials say alleged undercover purchases of cocaine had taken place with people connected to both residences.
Seized in the searches of the two residences were approximately $13,000 in suspected drug proceeds and 27 grams of cocaine base.
The estimated street value of the cocaine is $2,700.
