Lincoln Couple Arrested with Drugs in a Vehicle with Their 3 Kids
A Lincoln couple had their 3 children in the vehicle during a traffic stop that resulted in the seizure of meth and heroin.
Who Was Arrested?
East Millinocket Police say 39-year-old Aaron Reese and 35-year-old Crystal Reese, both of Lincoln, were stopped on I-95 by Officer Carlson just after leaving the Circle K in Medway. The department had recently received information concerning the welfare of the couple and their children. The officer was talking with the couple when he noticed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
What Was Seized During the Traffic Stop?
A search was conducted and officers seized a couple of viles of suspected heroin found on Aaron's person. In addition, police seized suspected methamphetamine, additional heroin, several needles, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun from the vehicle. Both Aaron and Crystal were placed under arrest.
What Happened to the Children?
At the time of the traffic stop, officials say the couple's 3 young children were in the vehicle, so police called the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. A DHHS representative responded and took custody of the children.
Aaron and Crystal were transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where they were each charged with two counts of unlawful possession of schedule W drugs and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Police say this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are possible.
