A 20-year-old Maine woman has died of her injuries after a crash that took her baby and the baby's father.

Lewiston Crash Immediately Claimed 1 Person, Sent 2 to the Hospital

Adaysia Read, 20, was with her 7-month-old daughter, Kinsley Willigar, and the baby's father, Tyrell Willigar, 20, of Brunswick, when the crash happened. Lewiston Police were called to the area of 393 Grove Street at approximately 10:45 Wednesday night, March 19, 2025 for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

First responders found a car containing three people that had left the roadway and struck a tree. Tyrell was deceased at the scene of the crash. Baby Kinsley and her Mom, Adaysia, were taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries.

Baby Kinsley Died Soon After the Crash and Her Mom Passed Days Later

Kinsley had passed away by the next day. Lewiston Police say Adaysia Read has now, also, succumbed to her injuries.

WABI-TV reports the couple was in the news in October 2024, when Read told the police that Willigar tried to strangle her. He posted bail and was not allowed to have contact with Read, as a condition of that bail.

Lewiston Police Say Speed is Believed to Have Contributed to the Fatal Crash
