Portland Police have identified the victim and suspect in a suspicious death on I-295.
Portland, Maine Man Accused of Killing a 21-Year-Old Near Tukey's Bridge
Glen Rodney, 58, of Portland, is charged with murder in connection with the August 5, 2026 suspicious death investigation near I-295 and Tukey's Bridge.
He's accused of killing Julian Nadeau, 21, of Portland.
Nadeau's body was found in the breakdown lane of I-295 on Wednesday.
Portland, Maine Man Faces Murder Charge After Altercation Left a 21-Year-Old Dead
An investigation by the Portland Police determined that the victim had been walking along the nearby walking path with friends, when they were approached by a man riding a bicycle.
A physical altercation occurred with Rodney fleeing the scene moments later.
Police responded just before 10 pm and found Nadeau lying in the breakdown lane of I-295, adjacent to the walking path.
Nadeau was transported to Maine Medical Center, where theuy succumbed to their injuries.
Witnesses gave officers a description of the suspect, who was reported to have fled on the bicycle.
Minutes later, officers located the suspect fleeing on Presumpscot Street and took him into custody without incident.
Portland, Maine Police Seek Witnesses to Fatal Incident Near Tukey's Bridge
Investigators have learned of potential witnesses who were driving, walking, and biking in the area at the time of the altercation, and encourage them to contact the Portland Police Department.
