A 7-month-old baby and her father were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Lewiston that left her mother in critical condition.

The Family Involved in a Lewiston Crash Was From Brunswick

Tyrell Willigar, 20, of Brunswick, and his 7-month-old daughter Kinsley Willigar, both died as a result of the crash.

Adaysia Read, 20, was last reported to be in critical condition.

Lewiston Police Say the Vehicle Went Off the Road and Struck a Tree

Lewiston Police were called to the area of 393 Grove Street at approximately 10:45 Wednesday evening for a report of a single-vehicle crash. When first responders arrived, they found a vehicle that had left the road and struck a tree. Tyrell Willigar died at the scene, but Adaysia and little Kinsley were transported to Central Maine Medical Center and, later, to Maine Medical Center.

Thursday morning, the police were notified that baby Kinsley had passed away from her injuries. Adaysia remained critical.

Officials Say Speed May Have Been a Factor in the Crash

Lewison Police continue to investigation the crash but officials say speed appears to have been a contributing factor. Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to contact Detective Aaron Schmitz at aschmitz@lewisonmaine.gov.
