Antiques Roadshow Draws Crowds To Boothbay, Maine For Appraisals
It was a rainy Wednesday, but that didn't stop 3000 people from showing up with their treasures, hoping to have them appraised on Antiques Roadshow.
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
Antiques Roadshow now does most of its shows on location at unique places. Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay was the perfect choice, even though the weather didn't cooperate as much as people hoped.
Antiques Roadshow shot three episodes in Maine, but it takes time to get them fully edited and produced, so we'll have to wait until early 2026 to see them.
It Takes a Crew to Make it Happen
A lot of work goes into producing a TV show. I hosted one myself way back when. A locally produced game show for kids called "Kick Start." Sneak Peek
Maine Public posted several photos and a Facebook Reel that showed the crazy long line of people waiting in the rain to have their treasures praised. In some cases, people are surprised that what they thought was a high value isn't worth as much as they hoped. Or, as the woman in this video found out, what she thought was of the most value wasn't. Yet another antique was the big one.
Keep an eye out in 2026 on Maine Public's Facebook page for an announcement of when the show will air, and then mark your calendar.
