Two people are facing charges in connection with the shooting of a man on a Bangor walking trail.
Bangor, Maine Police Arrest 2 People After a Shooting Off Stillwater Avenue
An investigation into the incident resulted in two arrests:
- Justin Grover, 38, of Bangor is charged with felony possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
- Kristina Hart, 35, of Bangor is charged with obstruction of government adminstration, disorderly conduct, and refusing to submit to arrest.
The charges stem from an incident that happened on June 15, 2026.
Bangor, Maine Police Say a Man Was Shot On a Walking Trail Near Stillwater Avenue
It was just after 11:30 pm on Monday when Bangor Police officers responded to a 911 call made from Talbot Trail, on Stillwater Avenue in Bangor.
Talbot Trail is a paved path that extends from Stillwater Avenue to Sylvan Road in Bangor.

The caller told authorities that a man had been shot by an unknown assailant, who then fled the scene.
When the officers arrived, they found an adult male conscious and alert, but suffering from several gunshot wounds.
The police rendered aid until an ambulance could transport the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim, whose name has not been released, told the officers that he's from Princeton, Maine, and had been camping in the woods off Stillwater Avenue.
While he was walking on the trail, he said an unknown man approached him and briefly spoke with the victim, before pulling out a gun and opening fire.
Bangor Police say the victim is expected to survive his injuries.

An investigation into the incident led the police to get a warrant and search a Stillwater Avenue home on June 17, 2026.
During that search, Grover and Hart were arrested, and severel items of evidence were seized.
Officials say this incident remains under investigation and more charges are expected in the future.
