High Speed Police Chase after Failing to Stop
“Instead of stopping his vehicle and presenting himself for inspection at the Calais port of entry, Brenner entered the U.S. by traveling in the outbound lane in the wrong direction, bypassing the incoming traffic inspection lanes,” said the United States Attorney’s Office.
Suspect Wearing Body Armor with a Loaded Firearm
Police chased him at speeds in excess of 100 mph. Brenner crashed his vehicle during the pursuit. When officers found him in the woods, he was wearing body armor and had a loaded firearm.
Loaded Magazines and Another Firearm
He also had two loaded magazines and another firearm in the crashed vehicle.
Lead Investigators
Investigating the case was the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol and the Baileyville and Indian Township police departments.
