Independent Candidate Alan Caron Drops Out Of Governor’s Race
Independent Candidate Alan Caron has announced that he's dropping out of the race for Governor.
Caron has trailed in the polls for the entire campaign and had stated, in the Portland Press Herald, that he would end his bid for governor in October, if it became clear that he couldn't win. On Monday, he announced that he has withdrawn from the race.
The three candidates remaining for Governor are Republican Shawn Moody, Democrat Janet Mills, and Independent Terry Hayes. Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, November 6th.
