Hunter Finds Human Remains In Blue Hill
A deer hunter came across human remains in the woods of Blue Hill on Wednesday.
Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the remains were discovered in woods off the Grindleville Road Wednesday morning, and the deer hunter who found them contacted the Warden Service. State Police Detectives and the State Medical Examiner's Office responded to the scene. The remains were recovered and taken to the medical examiner's office in Augusta for examination and identification.
State Police have been looking for 37-year-old Jessica Grindle of Blue Hill since August, when she was reported missing. Searches have taken place for her around two ponds near the Blue Hill-Sedwick town line. The Grindleville Road, where she lived, is near that area.
The remains have not been confirmed as Grindle's until positive identification can be made by the medical examiner.
