The Hermon Recreation Department is gearing up to host an exciting community indoor children's yard sale on Saturday, April 29th, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will take place at the Patricia A. Duran Gymnasium, located at 235 Billings Rd, in Hermon.

This is a great time for parents and guardians to begin their spring cleaning and declutter any children's items that are no longer needed but are still in good condition. The Hermon Recreation Department is offering an opportunity for those who wish to sell these items to rent tables and showcase a range of children's or baby items for sale, including books, toys, clothes, and furniture.

Spring cleaning is an important annual ritual that helps maintain a healthy and organized living environment. Parents and guardians play a crucial role in instilling good habits in their children, and that includes the importance of spring cleaning. By involving children in the cleaning process, parents can teach responsibility, organization, and the value of taking care of one's environment. Additionally, a thorough spring cleaning can help reduce clutter, improve indoor air quality, and create a more enjoyable living space for the whole family.

The Hermon Recreation Department is expecting a large turnout for the event, as folks seek to score some great deals on children's items. Admission to the event is by donation, with all proceeds going to support the department's 2023 Summer Program. The department is grateful for any donations, as they help support their mission of providing recreational opportunities to students in the area.

If you have any questions about the event or would like more information on how to participate as a seller, you’re encouraged to contact Lindsey at 848-8014 or via email at ouellettel@hermonmaine.gov.
