The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of the driver killed in a Hermon crash Tuesday night.

Officials say the crash happened at approximately 11:30 PM Tuesday on Union Street. When Deputies arrived, they found a truck that had left the roadway and rolled over into the woods. The driver, 35-year-old Aaron Hardy of Hermon, was found deceased inside the vehicle. He was the only occupant.

Investigators say it appears speed may have been a factor in the crash.

Sheriff's deputies and members of the Hermon Fire Department spent the night reconstructing the crash.
