
Hermon Dump Truck Crash Leaves 1 Man With Critical Injuries
A dump truck rollover crash sent the driver to the hospital.
The Crash Happened on the Newburgh Road
It was just before 10:00 Friday morning, the Penobscot County Regional Communications Center received a report of a dump truck crash on the Newburgh Road in Hermon. When members of the Hermon Fire Department and Penobscot County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene, they found a dump truck on its side.

Officials Say the Driver Was Seriously Hurt
The male driver of the truck suffered critical injuries. He was immediately transported to Northern Light Hospital. Officials have not released his name.

An EPA Crew Helped to Clear the Scene
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, fuel was spilled at the scene so the Department of Environmental Protection was called to assist with the cleanup. No one else was hurt in the crash which remains under investigation. Officials have not determined what caused the truck to crash.
