A Hampden man is facing charges in connection with a hidden camera found in a bathroom at EMMC in Bangor.

David Waltz, 58, of Hampden is charged with 15 counts of Invasion of Privacy, class D. He was located by investigators with Bangor's Criminal Investigation Division on Monday and arrested.

The charges stem from the discovery of a video camera in a staff bathroom at Eastern Maine Medical Center last month. A hospital spokesperson said at the time that the camera was immediately removed and the person believed to be responsible for placing it had been suspended. There's no word on Waltz's current employment status.

He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail without incident. Waltz made bail and has been released.
