Like most kids, I could not really focus on any one thing as a hobby. Well, that's not totally true. I started playing drums really young, so I collected anything I could get my hands on in that capacity. But I also tried building model cars, collecting baseball cards, and even one of those mini car race tracks.

Personally, I never got into model trains as any kind of collector. But, when you look at the work that goes into constructing all the scenery to go along with them, it becomes pretty freakin' impressive. If you image search model train tracks, you can see some absolutely wild stuff.

But WABI - TV5 got the word out that this Saturday, November 23rd at Jeff's Catering in Brewer, you can go check it all out with your very own eyes, in person. The Eastern Maine Model Railroad Club is hosting a model train show from 10:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. It's a totally family-friendly event, so kids under 12 get in free, and everyone else is just $4.

All aboard!
