A father and son were arrested on drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop in Lagrange.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says Lloyd MacFarlane Jr., age 24, and Lloyd MacFarlane Sr, age 55, were stopped by police while driving a pickup on I-95 in Waterville. The traffic stop was part of an ongoing investigation. Drug agents, along with State and Waterville Police searched the truck and found over 400 30-milligram Oxycodone tablets, that were intended for resale. The truck was seized by police.

Investigators then went to the home the men share on Medford Road in Lagrange and seized more Oxycodone, along with eleven firearms, (two of which were loaded) and just under $30,000 in cash that police believe were proceeds from drug sales. Officials say the street value of the drugs was more than $15,000.

Both MacFarlanes are charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs and taken to the Kennebec County Jail.
