Fatal Motorcycle Crash On Union Street In Bangor [UPDATE]

Officials say both people on a motorcycle have died after it collided with a van on Union Street in Bangor Monday night.

The accident happened around 10:00 at the intersection of Union Street and Godfrey Boulevard. Bangor Police found 31-year-old Chaz Gray of Levant deceased at the scene of the accident. Gray was a Corrections Officer for the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office. The passenger on his motorcycle, 29-year-old Adriane Mehuran of Bangor, was critically injured and taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, where she later died of her injuries. The operator of the van, 72-year-old Sylvalyn Tracy of Bangor, was not hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
