No one was hurt when fire ripped through a house in Thorndike on Monday.

The fire was reported by neighbors who said they could see flames coming from the home on Depot Street. A family of five lived in the home, but they were able to make it out safely. Thorndike's Assistant Fire Chief told WABI-TV that the fire appears to have started on the front deck and then progressed through the house and into the garage. Four vehicles parked in the driveway were destroyed and the flames lit a brush fire in the backyard.

The State Fire Marshall's Office will now investigate to try and determine what sparked the blaze.
