Eddington Family Displaced by House Fire

Fire heavily damaged a house on the Main Road in Eddington on Sunday night.

A lack of local water sources was a challenge for firefighters as they battled the blaze, just after 6:30 Sunday evening. Part of Route 9 was closed for several hours, as crews from several towns worked to douse the blaze. WVII-TV reports no one was hurt in the fire that caused extensive damage.

The State Fire Marshal's Office will now investigate to determine what started the fire.
