First we start overnight, outside the Maine Savings Amphitheater.

Thornton Construction will be performing sewer maintenance under Maine St. overnight tonight, 5/14 into the morning of 5/15. All five lanes of traffic on Main St. will be closed between Walter St. and Patten St.  Traffic will be detoured around the construction via Walter St., Hellier St. and Patten St. The detour will be clearly marked with signage. Please avoid this area as there may be traffic delays.

Questions may be directed to Thornton Construction at 207-827-0352.

Hopefully completed by early Tuesday morning.

Downtown we go, and this from City of Bangor, City Engineering Department

Consolidated Communications will be running new fiber cable on Monday via the large manhole in the middle of the intersection of Hammond Street/Main Street/Central Street.  Two-way traffic will be maintained, but here are likely to be traffic delays; motorists should try to avoid this intersection if possible.

Work is currently scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. For question or concerns please contact City Engineering at 992-4250.

Sure sign that winter is behind us and we are full on into construction season.
