Dedham Man Dies In Amity Motorcycle Accident

A Dedham man is dead after crashing his motorcycle in Aroostook County.

State Police say the accident was discovered by an Amity resident, who went to check his mail just after 5:00 Saturday evening, and noticed the motorcycle in the ditch. 60-year-old Jeffrey Warren of Dedham was found nearby, already deceased.

Investigators have determined that Warren was traveling north on Route 1 when he lost control of his bike, that slid on its side down the side of the road and into the woods. Warren became separated from the motorcycle during the crash and was located a short distance away. Officials say a helmet was found at the scene but they don't believe Warren had been wearing it.

State Police were assisted in this investigation by the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office.
