Have you seen the work being done on the building next to Save-A-Lot in Brewer on South Main Street lately?

According to the City of Brewer, there's a "country style" restaurant in the works. It looks like Brewer is continuing to develop its waterfront area with this, other local businesses opening like Mason's Brewing as well as the waterfront revitalization.

When can we see this new restaurant opening?  The plan is to see it opening up near the end of summer.

One of the big events happening this summer for the Brewer riverfront area includes the ribbon cutting this weekend for the riverwalk.

The riverwalk was started in June 2013 but has since been expanded to run a full mile along the riverfront of the Penobscot River. The official ceremony will take place this Saturday with a ribbon cutting at 1 a.m. and guest speakers at 1:30 p.m. The day is slated to be a fun event for the whole family starting at 11 a.m and going until 4 p.m.
