A Brewer man is sentenced to prison for trying to burn down is ex-girlfriend's house.

Prosecutors say the trouble between Rahsaan White and his ex-girlfriend began almost a couple of years ago when he was sentenced to 10 months in prison for assaulting her. Prosecutors said he continued to threaten her when he got out of jail, which escalated last November when White poured gasoline through her home on North Main Street in Brewer. He then fled to state to avoid arrest before police picked him up, a few days later, in Tennessee.

White was convicted last month of criminal mischief and pleaded guilty to criminal threatening. WABI-TV reports he has been sentenced to a year in prison.
