Boy, 14, Accused Of Threatening People At Bath YMCA With BB Gun

A 14-year-old boy was charged with bringing a BB gun to the Bath YMCA after police responded to a report of an individual threatening people with a gun.

Police said the boy from Bath was carrying a BB gun that resembled a real firearm.

The boy was charged with criminal threatening, a Class D crime.

He was taken to the Bath Police Department for booking and then transported to Long Creek Juvenile Development Center in South Portland.

A court date was scheduled for Dec. 4.

The YMCA on Centre Street went on lockdown after the alleged threats occurred.
