Hermon Woman Arrested After High-Speed Chase
A Hermon woman faces charges after fleeing a traffic stop and leading police on a high-speed chase, with speeds reaching 120 miles-per-hour.
State Police say the trouble started when a state trooper spotted Annette Dorrity, 47, driving erratically on outer Broadway in Gelbburn just before midnight Wednesday. The trooper pulled her over but, during the stop, Dorrity took off.
The ensuing high speed chase stretched to Dover-Foxcroft, with speeds reaching 120 miles per hour at times, according to police. Some other law enforcement agencies helped out by using spike mats to stop Dorrity's vehicle.
She's charged with operating under the influence, eluding an officer, criminal speeding, and operating without a license.
