Bangor Police say a missing man has been found in Searsport and is safe.

The Man Was Going on a Bike Ride When He Failed to Return

David Sgroi, 68, was reported missing after going on a bike ride Tuesday morning. He was located Tuesday night in Searsport. Officials say he is safe and has been reunited with his family.

Mr. Sgroi has Onset Dementia

Bangor Police say they were contacted when Sgroi failed to return to his home on Langley Street after several hours. Officials say David has onset dementia and may be confused. This picture shows what he was wearing when he left on the bike ride this morning. His bicycle is described as a green Huffy, similar to the one in this photograph.
