A Violent Attack on Union Street Prompted the Charges

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, the charges stem from an attack on June 23rd, 2024 in Hermon, when Deputies responded just before 4 am to a report of an injured man on Union Street. When they arrived, they determined the man had extensive injuries from an assault and that he had been viciously attacked and robbed by known associates. The victim was transported to the hospital shortly after medical crews got to the location.

Drugs Were Found at a Hotel Where the Suspects' Vehicle Was Located

Deputies found one of the suspect's vehicles at the Holiday Inn on Odlin Road in Bangor and detained three of the five people identified in the attack. Members of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division arrived a short time later to assist Deputies in a search of two hotel rooms, as well as the vehicle. As a result of that search, multiple bags of Crack Cocaine were seized. The three suspects, Kindred, Pope, and Allard, were transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

Officials say additional suspects have been identified and will be located.
