A Bangor man is facing charges for allegedly robbing a downtown restaurant on Wednesday.

Michael Deshane, 35, was arrested on Thursday. He was charged with one count of Robbery and was taken to the Penobscot County Jail, according to police.

The charges stem from an incident just after 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Thai Siam restaurant on Main Street in Bangor. Employees at the restaurant reported a man walked into the establishment, demanded money, and claimed to have a firearm. The suspect fled the restaurant. Police conducted a search but were initially unable to find him.
