The Crew-12 astronauts spent hundreds of hours conducting scientific research aboard the International Space Station, including studies on stem cells, nutrition, and how spaceflight affects blood flow.
They also tested ways to produce IV fluids in space, supporting research aimed at improving health on Earth and preparing astronauts for future missions to the Moon and Mars.

Meir is a NASA astronaut and marine biologist who was born and raised in Caribou and graduated from Caribou High School.
Selected for astronaut training in 2013, she helped conduct the first all-female spacewalk in 2019 and later commanded NASA’s SpaceX Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station.

And there you have it! Meir has completed another major spaceflight mission, adding nearly eight more months aboard the International Space Station to her career.
