An Ellsworth man faces charges after a woman was found dead Friday morning. Jessica Kane was found unresponsive at a Shore Road residence. As a result of an investigation , Jaret Patten was arrested and charged with furnishing drugs.
The Cross Insurance Center has made some changes to its security policy, including using metal detectors to conduct bag inspections, and only allowing small purses to be brought in. The Maine Emergency Management agency is encouraging residents to have Go bags ready for each member of the family. A GO bag contains all items that would be necessary if you had to leave your home for 3 or 4 days, including medications and cellphone chargers. Find more info on the MEMA website.
Veterans can now apply for a new honorable service coin, that will be unveiled next month, during the Veteran Recognition and Art Show in Augusta.
