
Bangor, Maine Police Charge Mississippi Man for Capehart Incident
A Mississippi man is facing charges after residents of a Bangor neighborhood reported alleged gunfire.

Trai Moore, 24, of Gulfport, Mississippi was arrested early Monday morning outside a Bangor motel, after a brief standoff.

Bangor, Maine Police Respond to Reports of Gunfire from a Vehicle in Capehart
Bangor Police responded to the old Capehart area after several reports about a person in a white sedan who was allegedly firing a gun while driving down the street. There's no report that anyone was hurt by the alleged gunfire.
One caller was able to show police officers security camera video that appeared to capture the alleged incident.

After talking with people in the area, the police were able to track Mr. Moore to a motel on the Odlin Road, where they found him still in his vehicle.
Bangor, Maine Police Charge Mississippi Man for Alleged Shooting in Capehart
A short standoff ensued, when Moore refused to get out of his vehicle. That situation was resolved peacefully and Moore was taken into custody.
He's charged with:
- Reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon
- Criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon
- Criminal restraint
- Resisting arrest
- Disorderly conduct
Moore was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
Police have not commented on what may have motivated the incident.
