An unhoused man was charged for an incident involving a woman visiting a downtown Bangor business.

Devin Anderson, 35, of Oregon is charged with assault.
Bangor Police say the incident happened at approximately 1:00 Wednesday afternoon.
Bangor, Maine Police Say a Woman Was Allegedly Assaulted Outside a Business
A woman told authorities that she was walking away from a downtown restaurant when Anderson allegedly grabbed her.

The complainant provided a description of the individual she said had assaulted her and the police found a man matching that description nearby.
There's no report of any injuries.
Bangor, Maine Police Will Dedicate an Officer to Monitor Downtown Parks
Starting on May 1st, a Bangor Police Officer will be assigned to the city's parks, particularly in the downtown area.
The Bangor City Council voted this week to approve the measure that WVII-TV says will potentially cost nearly $700 a day.
City Manager Carollyn Lear said, at this week's meeting, this move was prompted by an increase in complaints about problematic and illegal activity.
Bangor Police say too often, in these types of situations, the individual at the center of the complaint is gone by the time they arrive on the scene.
While the new measure is due to start on Friday, an officer has already been seen monitoring the situation at Pierce Park, outside the Bangor Public Library.
