A Bangor man has been charged in connection with an incident on the Odlin Road involving a Maine Wire reporter and a driver who allegedly tried to hit him.
Bangor, Maine Man Accused of Nearly Hitting a Reporter With His Vehicle
Ryan Hayward, 38, of Bangor, is charged with the following:
- Reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon
- Criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon
- Driving to endanger
- Violation of conditions of release
The charges stem from an encounter between Hayward and another man.
Bangor, Maine Reporter Nearly Run Over by Another Man Outside a Medical Clinic
Bangor Police say the incident happened on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at around 7:58 a.m.
A caller told authorities that a man had tried to run someone over outside a medical clinic.
Investigators identified the driver as Ryan Hayward of Bangor.
