It's getting to be that time of year again. The Halloween store just opened by the mall, the air is becoming a bit more crisp with each passing day, and for that matter, Halloween candy has been seen on the shelves since the end of August. I know for a lot of folks, this time of year is much like everyone else's Christmas and New Year's all rolled into one!

And the city of Bangor has it's own spirited and ghostly past, as well. That's why the Bangor Historical Society announced this week that they are hosting their annual Ghostly Bangor Walking Tour! Starting on October 1st, and running at different times all through the month, it's a chance to learn about some of Bangor's spooky past and learn about various unsolved mysteries, murders, and famous ghosts of Bangor!

Tickets are definitely recommended in advance for $10. This tour is extremely popular, and you wouldn't want to miss out. It lasts between an hour and a half, and two hours. But it's chock full of juicy tidbits about Bangor's past tales of intrigue! Each tour begins at 7:00p.m. at Bangor Historical Society's Thomas Hill house.

So, hopefully we may bump into each other on one of these adventures. I know I'd like to be a bit more of an authority on Bangor's checkered past, and be able to spook out my friends each year, armed with all my new knowledge about Bangor's mysteries! Get your tickets, and get ready to get scared!
