Bangor Drive-In Sets Opening Date With Blockbuster Premiere

The Bangor Drive-In will open on Thursday, May 4, 2017 and will start the season with a huge blockbuster!

The Drive-In will premiere "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" on May 4. The film also will play Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6.

Scott Warren, the general manger of the Bangor Drive-In, said Friday the facility is opening early to accommodate the release of the much-anticipated Marvel film. Last year, the Drive-In opened on May 27.

The first "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014) made more than $773 million at the box office.

The Bangor Drive-In, located on Hammond Street in Hermon, re-opened in 2015 after a nearly 30-year hiatus.
