Bangor Area Christmas Parade Is Today at 4 PM
There will be a Christmas Parade in Bangor and it is this afternoon.
The parade will begin at the intersection of Exchange and York St, on to Harlow St, around Central St, and continue on Main St until the intersection of Main and Cedar. It begins at 4 p.m.
In prior years the annual Festival of Lights Parade was put on by the Rotary Club. The parade was canceled last year due to the pandemic, and they decided to do the same thing this year.
A group of volunteers stepped forward and got the approval of the city to hold the parade. They also found sponsors to step up and participate. And recruited community groups and bands and businesses to be part of the parade.
Music, floats and more. All today..
Thank you to all for all parades and the work it takes to do such an endeavor. The past volunteers and committees. And the current ones.
And obviously, this doesn’t happen without numerous businesses in the area stepping up and helping ensure it’ll happen this year.
So all that is left is to make sure that the parade is well attended so all involved know that their dedication and work are much appreciated. Showing your gratitude will be the perfect thank you to them.
Tell everyone you know about the parade this year. And if it is possible, round up the family and attend yourself. Nothing like a parade to lift the spirits and get into the meaning of the season.
