Appleton Woman Dies in Freak Accident Involving Mower

An Appleton woman was found deceased underneath a riding lawn mower on Saturday.

Doreen Robbins, 59, was found unresponsive by a family member at around 1 p.m. Saturday, lying underneath a riding lawn mower. EMTs performed CPR, but were unable to revive the woman.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office told the BDN, they believe the mower fell from a 5-foot retaining wall and landed on Robbins. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation.

Earlier this month, a Peak's Island teenager died when he became trapped between the riding mower he was operating and a boat.
