Annual MDA Chili And Chowder Cook Off Set For April

Once again it's time to put your taste buds or cooking skills to the test for a great cause.

The Bangor Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 772 8th Annual Chili and Chowder Cook Off is set for April 2, at Hollywood Casino, in the Lancaster Ballroom. The event benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Maine.

If you'd like to enter your chili or chowder into the competition, email MDA@IAFF772.org to register. Amateur entries are $25 per-chili or chowder, and professional entries are $50 each.

A $10 donation gets you through the door to sample chili and chowder from local restaurants. Be sure to sample the delicious offerings from the amateur chefs too.
