You probably heard right after the Super Bowl, about how Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Derrick Nnadi celebrated the Chiefs victory by paying the fees for all the adoptions at a Kansas City shelter. Coors Light was so inspired by Nnadi's gesture, that they decided to kick it up a notch.

Coors Light has committed to reimbursing folks around the country, as much as $100 toward the the adoption of a shelter dog. And there really aren't any strings attached. They're offering this until February 21st, and you do not have to purchase a Coors Light product to qualify.

Sadly, folks in handful of states aren't eligible for whatever silly reason, but Maine is not on that short list. All you have to do is text COORS4k9 to 28130, and include a photo of the receipt from the pet you just adopted. If they choose your pet, you'll get some reimbursement money.

They're reimbursing folks around the country, and 1000 dogs are eligible. When all's said and done, Coors Light will have spent about $100,000. And in the process, really honoring folks who are doing the right thing by adopting a shelter pet. If you want to check out the official rules, scope this link.

These days, we could all use a little good news, however it may present itself. And frankly, helping pets get adopted is pretty doggone noble cause. Or maybe in this case, a noble Coors? Why not? Coors just sounds like 'cause' with a Maine accent anyway.

But seriously....cheers to them!!
