Accident Has Shut Down I-95 Southbound In Hermon [UPDATE]
UPDATE: A Maine State Police Trooper was killed in an accident on I-95 in Hampden Wednesday morning.
The crash took place south of the Coldbrook Road overpass near Exit 180, just after 7:30 a.m., according to Maine Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausalnd.
The trooper was out of his vehicle at the site of a disabled car along Interstate 95. Officials say the other vehicle involved was a tractor trailer. The trooper, whose name has not been released, was rushed by ambulance to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where he died.
Southbound traffic is being detoured via Exit 180, the Coldbrook Road, (the Dysart's exit) in Hermon. Road conditions for I-95 can be found at New England 511.
