9 Maine Dogs Found Abandoned in Subzero Temperatures Without Food or Water
If you hadn't noticed, it's extremely cold outside.
Just take a look at what the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, posted on its Facebook on Friday morning:
It's hard to imagine staying out in the cold longer than you have to, but according to WGME, police found nine beagles, including three puppies left abandoned in an unheated garage in Freeman Township in Maine.
Police said that the owner of the dogs, David Ellis, had moved out of the property and left the animals there without food or water, according to the news station.
WGME reported that the beagles were taken to Franklin County Animal Shelter in Farmington and that Ellis was found and charged with animal cruelty.
It's just good to know the dogs were rescued from these crazy negative temperatures and are getting cared for.
