Bangor Police have arrested a Brewer woman and a man from New York on drug charges after an incident that began on Essex Street.

When Did This Happen?

It was around 11:00 Monday morning when Bangor Police responded to what had been reported as a family fight on Essex Street. When they arrived, witnesses told the officers the suspect had taken off and described the vehicle in which he was riding.

Police spotted the vehicle in Downtown Bangor and pursued it, finally pulling the driver over in Brewer. Both the driver and the passenger were searched and found to be in possession of illegal drugs.

Who Was Arrested?

Sarah Crawford, 29, of Brewer was driving the car. She's charged with unlawful possession of scheduled drugs

Jesus Manuel Burgos, 41, of Bronx, New York was a passenger in the vehicle. After giving several false names to police, police say he was positively identified and found to be in possession of a substantial amount of illegal drugs, cash, and other items. Because of that search, Burgos was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. In addition, he was charged with criminal mischief for damage at the scene of the original family fight call on Essex Street. Burgos was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
